Historical Survey
The Department of History was started in 1995. Since then about thousand students have completed the course from the department. The curriculum of the course consists of History main and Politics and Logic as subsidiaries. From the first batch onwards the department has consistently good result with an average ninety percent pass. In the University examinations of 2000 and 2002, the students of the department bagged ranks. The department has a good collection of books.

Alumni
Many of our old students are employed in Government, Govt. aided, and private sectors. Some of them are professors in different colleges in Kerala. Many have become priests and nuns. Some are in politics having commendable positions. The former principal of our college Fr. Sunny Jose S. J. is an alumnus of the Department.
