A Seminar on Medical Device Developments was organized by Department of Botany & Biotechnology exclusively for the final year B.Sc students of Physics, Chemistry and BBT Departments in collaboration with Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology (SCTIMST) on 16.1.20 at College auditorium on the topic " Medical Device Developments".

College Principal Fr. (Dr.) V. Y. Dasappan SJ inaugurated the program. Dr. Harish S.R, Programme Co-ordinator welcomed the gathering. Dr. Rajkrishna Rajan (Engineer, SCTIMST) gave general introduction about SCTIMST and delivered lecture on the topic "Medical Devices and Intellectual Property Rights". Dr. Harikrishnan V.S (Scientist, SCTIMST) delivered lecture on the topic "Medical Device Development overview - Case Study". It was followed by an exhibition on various products and devices developed by SCTIMST. The explanations regarding various products were done by Dr. Manoj G and Dr. Sivakumar (Scientists, SCTIMST).
