Departments of Economics and Commerce jointly organized a one-day seminar on 'Quality Assurance in Higher Education' on 18 March 2022, as an initiative of IQAC. Former Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Kerala, Dr. S Kevin delivered the keynote address and made a presentation on 'Quality assurance in higher education'. This session was followed by Union and state budget analysis presentations by Dr. Legio Meril, Asst. Professor of Economics, and Dr. Ansi Rahila, Asst. Professor of Commerce. Both the budget analysis presentations were followed by responses by Dr. Cyril Jos of Dept. of Economics and Dr. Shijumon K J, Asst. Professor of Commerce. Manager of the college, Dr. (Fr.) Jose Mathew SJ, Principal Dr. (Fr.) V Y Dasappan SJ, Bursar Adv (Fr.) Jose Thachil, Vice-Principal S/Lt Rajesh M, Coordinator of IQAC Dr. Divya Thomas and Smt. Sherine Fredy, Asst. Professor of Commerce addressed the gathering.

All the staff members of St. Xavier's College, Thumba and Xavier Institute of Management participated in the seminar.
