National reading day 2023 was celebrated with a wide variety of programmes. Arnos Padiri library in collaboration with language departments is conducting 'Xavier's lit Fest' which is a one-year celebration of literary contributions of Arnos Padiri, the world renowned Jesuit poet. inauguration of this Xavier's lit fest was conducted on 19 June 2023, on the national reading day, by Sri. B Murali, short story writer, at Fr. Stan Swamy auditorium in the presence of college principal Dr(Fr) v Y Dasappan SJ and Fr. George Thenadikkulam (Director of Arnos Padiri Academy). Around 150 students participated in the programme. Sri. Vaishak J S (Director in-charge of college library) and Smt. Sheeba Johnson (College librarian) addressed the gathering.

NCC Navy wing of St. Xavier's college celebrated reading day by donating books to the college library. ANO S/lt Rajesh M and NCC cadets handed over books to librarian in the presence of Principal and teachers. Department of Malayalam & Mass Communication distributed books to  the nearby St. Andrew's LP school. Dr. Lisba Yesudas (HoD, M&MC) and Dr. Renuka O led the programme.
