Orientation on cyber crime awareness 

On February 18, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college organized a comprehensive orientation session on cyber crime awareness. The event, held at the XOS hall, witnessed an overwhelming attendance of 83 students, reflecting their eagerness to learn about digital safety and security.

The session commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Renju R Krishnan, IQAC Coordinator, who emphasized the role of IQAC in ensuring the holistic development of students, the primary ambassadors of the college. Dr. Nisha Rani, Principal of the college, inaugurated the session, encouraging students to maximize their benefits from such programs that contribute to their overall growth.

The session was expertly handled by Mr. Roy M, Civil Police Officer, Cyber Crime Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram. His engaging presentation style enabled participants to gain in-depth knowledge about various types of cyber crimes and scams. The talk was supplemented with real-life examples through videos, allowing students to understand the severity of these scams and the importance of avoiding them.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. M. Leninlal, Faculty of History and Member, Syndicate, University of Kerala. The session ended successfully at 12:45 pm, with students expressing heartfelt appreciation for the informative and engaging program.

This initiative by the IQAC demonstrates the college's commitment to promoting digital awareness and safety among its students, empowering them to navigate the online world with confidence and caution.
