The Economics Department inaugurated the Department Association and hosted a seminar titled “Bridges to the Future: Exploring Economic Growth and Educational Innovation in Japan” 10.30am today (08-09-2025) in the Fr.Stan Swamy Aditorium The program began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome from Alhitha Shameer (Secretary, EDA) and a Presidential Address by Kashinathan (President, EDA). Sri Thomas Marslin, Economics Educator and Cambridge in Tokyo, delivered the inaugural address. Subsequent felicitations included Fr. (Dr.) Sunny Jose SJ (Manager) for the logo launch, Prof. Dr. Thomas Scaria (Principal) for the ECO FEST name launch, and a video presentation by Kashinathan and Alhitha Shameer. Further,  the Department Jersey released by Dr. D. Legio Meril (HOD), followed by felicitationd of S/Lt. Rajesh M (Vice Principal), Smt. Soumya S. (Guest Lecturer), Joel Thomas (Treasurer, EDA), and Archana (Vice President, EDA). The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Nandhachha (Joint Secretary, EDA). The official programme concluded with the national anthem, followed by the seminar on “Bridges to the Future: Exploring Economic Growth and Educational Innovation in Japan,” by Sri Thomas Marslin.
